A high society family Drama is the one line description for the movie. Movie is a narration of story, surprisingly, by a Bull Dog named Pluto. It is all about the Hippocratic, emotionless and plastic high society Indian families. Again this is not a movie for the next person you know, it is a piece of art, a screenplay from the heart of director Zoya Akhtar. I would say it is an excellent movie in its kind of category, as I said family drama… please don’t compare it with Sooraj Barjatya’s films. This one is different level of our westernised family culture.
As expected, there are some similarities you can find in all the movies of Zoya and that is Travelling, kind of rich western music, high society culture and obviously excellent direction and screenplay. The movie will make you travel from Turkey, Istanbul, Greece and so and so fabulous places. There is always a quotient of motivation factor for life in all her movies.
This movie portrays power, rights and equality of women and most importantly the kind of Hippocratic nature of parents towards children in our Indian society. The way they pressurize children to be like what parents want and not even trying to know what actually the children want to be in their life. Whom to marry and what exactly their aims are… Marriage is not necessity, it is an option and that is not the ultimate aim of a woman in life.
Presenting clearly the relationships of the high society families that they don’t even know about each other. It is one of the truth of so called Indian Arrange Marriages that they stay together because either they don’t have other option or because of society or because of their elders or because it is too late to act for anything or finally may be they compromise with their lives.
Excellent and outstanding acting by Ranveer Singh. The performance and the kind of expression he delivers throughout the movie is awesome. It is a must watch for seeing Ranveer Singh in a new avatar. 
It is a bunch of talented actors together with a genius director obviously the fruit will be sweet and sober. Good to see Anil Kapoor back in such a good role. Priyanka Chopra, Anushka Sharma, Farhan Akhtar, Shefali Shah, Rahul Bose, all gave justice to their roles.
