Force 2 – Movie Review

3 out of 5 stars (3 / 5)

The ACP Yashvardhan is back again with Force 2, on the lines of 2011 release Force (Directed by Nishikant Kamat) but this time directed by Abhinay Deo and produced by John Abraham and Vipul Amrutlal Shah. The movie is packed with brilliant action sequences with an average story line but the pace and thrill was maintained in the whole movie which actually made it a good entertainer.

Movie is all about a cop from Mumbai Police department joined up with RAW agent KK to trapping down a master mind terrorist. In this mission, they are travelling around the Europe tackling various challenges. There is chase scene between ACP Yashvardhan (John Abraham) and terrorist (Tahir Bhasin), this kind of situation is repeated two times in the movie which was little lagging as per me. Some action scenes were awesome with various camera techniques, like playing a video game. In the last movie, you watched John lifting motorcycle with his bare hands and now he is lifting a car in this movie.

As always, he is beefed up with awesome muscles with eight pack abs and looking massive all over the movie. The role of KK is played by Sonakshi Sinha who is actually re-writing the persona of actresses in Indian cinema doing action movies like Aakira and now Force 2. Both John and Sonakshi did a fantastic Job in the movie and it was fun and thrill watching them throughout the two hours seven minutes. You can see Adil Hussain in the movie as a minister and a cameo role by Boman Irani and Genelia D’Souza flashing back the old Force movie memories.

Overall it is a onetime watch for some thriller actions!

Naam Hai Akira – Movie Review

4 out of 5 stars (4 / 5)

What a brilliant performance by Sonakshi Sinha and Anurag Kashyap! A thriller action movie from Director/Producer A R Murugadoss, as shown in trailer it is all about a girl who grows up in a condition where she trains herself for self-defense and to fight against the odds in the society. Later when she is in college she unwittingly gets into a crime which has been executed by four police officers, lead by the biggest evil in the movie ACP Rane (Anurag Kashyap).

Movie is all about the journey of the girl fighting against brutal criminals along with the power of Police Force. She never felt helpless and fought with bravery and wisdom to overcome the situations. Sonakshi Sinha nailed the character and I believe there is no alternate person for this role other than this macho lady. The action sequences are filmed in such a precision that, even after being larger than life it was actually thrilling and entertaining. In our Hero Oriented film industry, this kind of Heroine oriented, specially action movies are little risky in terms of business. But I appreciate Mr. A R Murugadoss for this awesome, fantastic film and this one proved that our Industry can’t be male oriented anymore.

akkira
Movie portrays various evils of our society like acid attacks and how should we react towards those anti-social elements, how should we train our children to be self-reliant for all different situations of life. Konkona Sen Sharma is in the movie narrating the story of Akira and in the character of a crime investigation officer. Atul Kulkarni is in the movie as father of Akira, a teacher to deaf and dumb children. Amit Sadh in supporting role as a friend to Akira did justice to his role. Raai Laxmi is there in the movie in a short role as a high profile prostitute and she is the key person behind all the misery that happened to Akira’s life.

Well it is a must watch to realize Hindi Film Industry is not Male Oriented anymore…

Tevar – Movie Review

3 out of 5 stars (3 / 5)

A movie by father for his dearest son… Exactly a tailor made, complete pack of Bollywood masala to satiate the taste buds of Indian audience, targeting multiplexes to single screens. Boney Kapoor has really worked hard for his son and presented a brilliant movie with direction and beautiful screenplay of Mr. Amit Ravindernath Sharma. You can see the beauty of Agra and Mathura in all the senses with colourful locations and typical uniqueness of the region.

Talking about story there is nothing new, its same old story of bollywood in a little bit new package and faces. But would like to emphasise, the movie is not bad at all. Brilliant performance by Mr. Manoj Bajpai… Outstanding expressions and awesome dialogues.

Regarding Arjun Kapoor, he did well other than if you can accept larger than life action sequences exactly like what he is claiming in the movie that he is a “Superman”. An angry young man’s role who is fighting for a girl and at last fallen in love with the girl for ultimate climax fight.

Some songs are really touching in the second half, but some are really annoying in the first half. You can see Sonakshi Sinha in a sensible role out of her past few track record. She has lost quite some pounds of body fat and thus, looking ripped and beautiful in the role of a very next door girl.

Overall it is a paisa vasool one time watch if you are fond of bollywood masala movies with larger than life action stunts…
