Dishoom – Movie Review

2.5 out of 5 stars (2.5 / 5)

An upgraded version of David Dhawan movie by son Rohit Dhawan starring the hunk John Abraham and Varun Dhawan. John as always looking awesome with his masculine bulk body and David Dhawan did complete justice to his role. Movie is like next jolly Bollywood akshaye-khanna-movie with larger than life actions, beautiful locations and songs. As shown in the trailer, the movie is all about kidnapping of a famous cricket player named as Viraj Sharma before a crucial match of India with Pakistan in a final of some series. Akshay Khanna is back as a villain in the movie as a cricket match betting mafia who kidnapped Viraj and the story goes on.

Johan Abraham from Special Force India and Varun Dhawan from Arab Police is chasing for the player all over the movie through various challenges and situations. Movie is very colourful as always following the legacy of father David Dhawan. The lacking point is about the soul of the movie, it was not that much entertaining. The plot is too much good for making this movie with more thrill and perfection. It looks like Rohit Dhawan lost the grab somewhere in between the movie. As compared to Desi Boyz, his first venture, it was awesome.

Jacqueline-Fernandez-Dishoom
Jacqueline Fernandez is there in a supporting role adding little masala on the movie with her stunning looks and the song Sau tarah ke. There are two more surprise packages in the movie as cameo roles which I can’t reveal here as per the ethics. Saqib Saleem is playing the role of cricketer and he did complete justice for the same.

Overall it is a onetime watch if you wanna enjoy something light without brain.

ABCD 2 – Movie Review

3 out of 5 stars (3 / 5)

Dance, Dance and Dance… That is the review for this Movie. As expected it is a presentation of various forms of dance with beauty and excellent choreography. Very well directed by Remo D’Souza and awesome music by Sachin Jigar made this movie a journey of music and dance.

I am forced to convey that this is also the weak point of the movie, as you are constantly watching music and dance for complete 2.5-3 hours in between they have bundled up a different song to show off the chemistry between the leads Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor. As it is a Disney Presentation, you can expect outstanding 3D effects.

Emotional quotient they tried to give is not much efficient due to the poor performance of Prabhu Deva in the sense of acting (not about dance). varunYou can see Varun Dhawan in a dancing avatar flaunting abs and his ripped body along with a really good moves of the art. I must say this film pointed out and projected the talent of Shraddha Kapoor as a dancer, she was outstanding and almost overpowered the performance of Varun in most of the places.

shraddha

A great glimpse of the fantasy city of Las Vegas along with the blend of all culture into the form of dance. This time you can see a realistic end of the story even being a Bollywood movie. The original story is based on a Mumbai based dance group. In ABCD (1) they have a religious climax performance and this time they have a patriotic one.

Dance lovers can’t avoid this movie…

Badlapur – Movie Review

2.5 out of 5 stars (2.5 / 5)

Completely different Avatar for our dashing hero “Varun Dhawan”. Hats off to him for accepting this kind of role in an early phase of his carrier pace and I guess he completely did justice to the responsibility he had taken.

varun dhawan

From a chocolate boy to a mid-aged man. A great transformation with matured acting. Story is all about Revenge as the name depicts. Chasing the culprits responsible for the death of his beautiful wife (featuring Yami                                                                                                                        Gautam) and son.

A happy family comes to an end leaving only the man out of the nuclear home. Revenge begins from there and the man completely runs out of the way of his life and the ultimate aim targeted towards the assassination of the culprits. Which lead him to became mentally depressed and physically strong for the revenge. The journey of the revenge take you throughout the movie to discover the justice for him.

But Sorry Varun, somebody stealed the show from you and that is none other than the great Mr. Nawazuddin Siddiqui. He completely rocked the screen and he will be the only person you gonna remember whenever you hear the name “Badlapur”. nawaz It seems he doesn’t need to act, it is coming effortlessly from his heart.  He is such a versatile actor who can mix up in any role in a way that you can’t even imagine an alternative for him. Not an Happy Ending like  usual typical bollywood drama.

“Go and watch it if you are strong hearted and will not get depressed by kind of sad movies”
