Happy Bhag Jayegi – Movie Review

It is a family entertainer featuring a romantic comedy plot. Lead role is done by Diana Penty as Happy Kaur who is a happy go adventurous girl. As shown in trailer, happy was not so happy with her scheduled arrange marriage with Jimmy Shergill (as Daman Singh Bagga) as she was in love with a regular guy Ali Fazal (as Guddu). Just before the marriage she ran away from home and by mistake she jumped into a wrong truck which actually took her to Karachi, Pakistan. The craziness began there and Abhay Deol (as Bilal Ahmed, Politician of Pakistan) came in to picture. The movie will really take you to a comedy trip.

Excellent and outstanding performance by Jimmy Shergill. He is completely transformed into a method actor from the chocolaty guy we saw in Mohabbatien and Mere yaar ki shaadi hai. It is a must watch to see Jimmy Shergill in this movie. Diana Penty executed the role perfectly but some what I felt she was not the correct choice for this kind of role. No words to explain the excellent person Abhay Deol, a gem actor for the industry, he took the character to next level and I am sure the charming face will remain in your mind for long time after watching this movie.

Even after all the good efforts of above mentioned characters, I bet the life line of the movie was Mr. Piyush Mishra (as ACP Usman Afridi). He is completely crazy in the movie with his outstanding comedy acting and excellent dialogues in Urdu. He is the character who maintained the pace of comedy in the movie from beginning to end. He is an another reason to watch the movie.

Overall, it is a must watch, a family comedy entertainer!

Madaari – Movie Review

It is all about fighting against the corrupt system in an unethical way. The very talented Director Nishant Kamat and the legendary actor Irrfan Khan, when they meet up you can just imagine the intensity of the movie. As shown in the trailer it is all about a man who lost everything in a disaster, a flyover collapsed in Mumbai city, where his only son is crushed to death. He was his sole only family in this world.

This mishap made him to do something drastic which actually shakes the government of the country terrifically. Jimmy Shergill is in the movie as a Police Officer who is chasing Irrfan Khan throughout the movie. The film travels through a thrilling pace but in between it loses the speed and started lagging, which actually brought some boredom in the cinema. Somehow it picked the grasp again in the climax with a good node of ending.

Talking about actors, Tushar Dalvi is there as Home Minister of India, did complete justice to his role. Nitish Pandey playing the role of a famous journalist, who is now days loud on screen, hope you got about whom I am talking about.

Movie is intense, thrilling and a good watch

Tanu Weds Manu Returns – Movie Review

Kangna Ranaut has emerged as a Brand in Hindi Film Industry (HiFi). She completely rocked the movie with excellent and outstanding performance. Movie commenced with casting on a regular video shoot as background like every next Indian marriage video looks like. There itself it gives you a feel that how creative the Director Anand Rai is. The Haryanvi Character of Kangna as Kusum is so perfectly played, I am unable find words to describe the feeling. She imitated the Haryanvi language in such a pace and accent that you gonna doubt isn’t she the same Kangna who is acting as Tanu in the movie.

R. Madhavan as always he is good there in the movie but felt little outside in comparison with the Kangna’s acting, sorry maddy she stealed the show this time. Movie is full of punches by Deepak Dobriyal (Pappi) and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub (Chintu – The lawyer). Chintu defines a category of boys call “Kandha” (Shoulder) who have mastery of giving shoulder to those girls whose relationship break up. Eijaz Khan as Jassi is having a dialouge in a punjabi marriage… He announce on stage “Jo nahi nachega, kal subah mata rani uski maa utha legi” lolzz… I promise you gonna enjoy every bit and byte of the film.

Jimmi Shergill as Raja Awasthi the villan of last movie is still on, but this time for a change there is no villan at all. He is in a comic character rather than as negative role. Though he played a very strong character in the last one, his role loosed that much strongness in this one.

Tried to portay the evil of Girl Child Killing, backward treatment towards girls as one of the lacking point of Haryana. The message has been well conveyed by the brilliant actor Rajesh Sharma (Kusum’s Brother). In the whole movie it is like a cultural union, you can get the feel of three different types of marriages – UP(Kanpur) Wedding, Haryana Wedding and Punjabi Wedding.

During the entire movie, I felt that what is happening in the movie is not correct, it is not the right justice… But this is what Director Anand wants the audience to feel. Watch the movie to know what actually happened as I never reveal the suspense and story of the movie in my reviews 🙂
