Kill Dil- Movie Review

3 out of 5 stars (3 / 5)

Kill/Dil Movie is a colourful live presentation by Yash Raj Films. Not a single minute, other than some unwanted song sequences, which will slow down the pace. A humorous & brilliant performance by Ranveer Singh, looks like he is back with some acting as was in his first Yash Raj venture Baand Baaja Baraat. Ranveer Singh’s on screen effort dips the presence of Ali Zafar a little bit, however he too remarkable in the movie.

Brilliant & Outstanding performance by the all time great actor Govinda… You must watch this movie for him.. Back with his signature dance steps.. shaking shoulders with slow motion hand movements. Can see a fit, slim and all refreshed Govinda in this movie. In fact, he is seen in a negative role in this movie, you gonna love him and will be in your mind for at least next 10 days after the movie.

Parineeti Chopra looks stunning and gorgeous in the movie with a bold Delhi Girl Character as she almost play next.

The weak point is the climax…

Movie will end up so suddenly that you will get surprised like was expecting some thing big at the end and goes as usual happy ending bollywood drama.

“Well it is worth watching once even the story is very predictable… Watch it for a light humorous weekend and for Govinda and Ranveer Singh”

Happy New Year – Movie Review

2.5 out of 5 stars (2.5 / 5)

“Happy New Year” – As the name depicts it’s a kind of Happy go Bollywood movie. The first half was very slow and I got depressed that another disaster from Farah Khan. However, the movie regained the strength & soul after the interval and could get the hold over the audience emotionally. Overall it was nice watching the colorful presentation with beautiful sets and lightings. The lights at Dubai Palm Island and other dance sets added richness to the movie which is a usual Farah Khan element as was in Om Shanti Om.

Shahrukh Khan flaunting his 10 Packs abs with lean ripped muscles, an improved version of Dard-e-Disco. You will find him doing the same signature style hand lift along with motivational dialogues as usual. Obviously no need to comment over his acting skills, you can find a good performance from his side as an actor. Deepika Padukon looking good and nice dance sequences with item song ‘Lovely’.

Brilliant performance by Booman Irani and Sonu Sood. Abhishek Bachan in double role also did justice to his role. Vivaan Shah the new guy (Son of Nazruddin Shah) not much in spot light but seems a good start for him in Bollywood.

Story is all about a bunch of losers all settled for a big robbery with the support of World Dance Championship and nobody in the group can really shake even their legs. Dramatically head towards accomplishing their mission keeping the tribute and love towards our country India by winning the dance competition internationally. Robbery is a revenge against the villain Jacky Shroff which is the main stream reason for the movie.

My final verdict is don’t expect other than a typical Farah Khan presentation and it’s a good one- time family entertainer for most.

Ekkees Topon Ki Salaami – Movie Review

2.5 out of 5 stars (2.5 / 5)

“Ekkees Topon Ki Salaami” – A one-time average watch. But should appreciate the brilliant heart touching performance by Anupam Kher… I salute and respect him from the bottom of my heart. Love to see him doing such roles. He is engrossed in the character so much that it is hard to believe that he is acting on screen.

Movie is a good effort by Director Ravindra Gautam but lacks the emotional hold over audience, which is required in this kind of stories. However, Anupam Kher did that, rest bunch of actors did well but the main lead Divyendu Sharma not met with the expectation.

Movie is all about the race to gain the respect for Subash Joshi’s (Divyendu) dead father Purushotam (Anupam Kher) by giving him 21 Canon’s Salute on his funeral. He accomplished that but as per my point of view it would be better if in the story his struggle and fight would have justified that ekkees topon ki salaami with due respect rather than the way he gained it in the movie.

Well thats all about the storyline. Liked the song “Ghoor Ghoor ke” in the amazing voice of Sona Mohapatra. Quite well-choreographed on Neha Dupia and a tribute to most of the famous bollywood Villans.

Watch it for the brilliant performance of Anupam Kher…
