Hero – Movie Review

2.5 out of 5 stars (2.5 / 5)

The most needed debut for Sooraj Pancholi’s son of Aditya Pancholi, directed by Nikhil Advani, produced by Salman Khan & Subash Ghai is released today and seems the magic of the hero is not spreading much as expected. Although movie is good and better entertainer with all the Bollywood masala for mass, the theaters are not filling up fast. Probably we have to wait till this weekend to see about the responses of public.

hero

Talking about the movie, it starts with overdose of heroism with larger than life action sequences. Later on, it comes down to the grounds of reality making the actions little logical. Sooraj is looking great flaunting his lean muscular body with an amateur and young kid kinda look.

The girl with a broad jaw line Miss Athiya Shetty, daughter of Sunil Shetty is casted against Sooraj as the lead lady. Considering this is athiyaher debut, she did better job in her pilot project. In the terms of acting skills both look like amateur but better than many in the industry.

You can see fantastic actors like Tigmanshu Dulia and Aditya Pancholi onscreen creating some good cinema. Aditya Pancholi is back on the screen after the movie Bodyguard supporting his son’s debut film.
Screen play and locations of the movie is pretty awesome showing places from snow covered Kashmir along with beautiful monasteries. Combining these locations with music of Amaal Mallik, Meet Bros Anjjan and Sachin-Jigar created a fantastic combination. Second half of the movie is having a little more hold on the audience emotionally as compared to first part, which is little lagging and slow.

The song “Oh Khuda” is picturized at a stage format and it is choreographed beautifully. Movie end up with the most loved song of the year sung by Salman Khan “Main Hoon Hero”.

Beside above mentioned points movie is a one-time watch with a light romantic love story which will not leave any impact on audience to remember ever.

Welcome Back – Movie Review

3 out of 5 stars (3 / 5)

One of the most awaited sequel of a blockbuster evergreen comedy Welcome Back released today, carrying forward all the excitement from the last one. Movie started with the same kind of momentum and hold from the scene one itself. Nana Patekar rocked again with his brilliant and excellent performance, he is the man with versatility… he can make you laugh and cry in a single minute.

uday

Anil Kapoor is a tough competition for all the upcoming actors of our Industry. He is still young and dynamic and rocked the movie with his Majnu Style. First part of the movie is filled with excitement, comedy and twist of emotions and a cherry on the top with glimpse from the last movie Welcome. Movie is full of humorous one liners which actually would create their presence in our brain forever.

majnu

Akshay Kumar is replaced with John Abraham is little lose for the movie as the comic role does not much suit over John. It is somewhat compromised as John is playing a character of a rowdy of Mumbai.

Lacking points of the movie starts with leading lady Shruti Haasan as she appears completely lost with emotionless and expression less acting. shruti As talking about the crons the second part is little boring and some illogical comedy with seriously bad animations. Watching the first part will raise your expectation too high that the after interval part will really let you down. Movie climax is same us always creating chaos and confusions along with fight and drama. Movie is in the same platform as the old one with some characters replaced like Naseeruddin Shahin the place of Feroz Khan. You can see Shiney Ahuja back on screen with a not very strong character in the movie.

Other than the bad animations and little lagging part, movie is a complete entertainer especially for those who loves the part one movie Welcome. As the characters Majnu and Uday is themselves worth of your hard earned ticket money.

Welcome to Karachi – Movie Review

2 out of 5 stars (2 / 5)

From the starting itself you will get a feel that movie is little low budget and bit boring till the first 15-20 minutes. Some unbelievable animations like A big cruise boat get drowned in sea due to bad climatic conditions but a small rescue boat managed there.

Later on, the duo did a fantastic performance. Hats off to Arshad Warsi… a born actor and talented comedian. The way they portrayed Karachi and world war on the street of city between embassies of each country created so much fun. Very excellent picturization of Taliban area (Wazirastan). Jackie is playing the role of dump Gujarati guy who’s foolishness lead to so many problems and Arshad is a court martial-led  Indian Naval Officer. You also get to see the beautiful girl of ABCD Part1 Lauren Gottlieb as Pakistan Intelligence.

Cheers to script writer, movie is rich with punches of Arshad and Jackie Bhagnani. It seems Jackie’s acting is getting matured day by day and I believe it is good for him to tie-up with senior actors like Arshad to prove his name in the industry. Both of the lead guys did an excellent job but the lacking point of the movie is some boring songs and last but the main point is no strong climax. But I assure, the movie is much give you some light chilling moments with the way they created humour in simple things.

Go and watch the movie if you have nothing to do at this weekend and enjoy some light humour.

Tanu Weds Manu Returns – Movie Review

4 out of 5 stars (4 / 5)

Kangna Ranaut has emerged as a Brand in Hindi Film Industry (HiFi). She completely rocked the movie with excellent and outstanding performance. Movie commenced with casting on a regular video shoot as background like every next Indian marriage video looks like. There itself it gives you a feel that how creative the Director Anand Rai is. The Haryanvi Character of Kangna as Kusum is so perfectly played, I am unable find words to describe the feeling. She imitated the Haryanvi language in such a pace and accent that you gonna doubt isn’t she the same Kangna who is acting as Tanu in the movie.

kangna

R. Madhavan as always he is good there in the movie but felt little outside in comparison with the Kangna’s acting, sorry maddy she stealed the show this time. Movie is full of punches by Deepak Dobriyal (Pappi) and pappiMohammed Zeeshan Ayyub (Chintu – The lawyer). Chintu defines a category of boys call “Kandha” (Shoulder) who have mastery of giving shoulder to those girls whose relationship break up. Eijaz Khan as Jassi is having a dialouge in a punjabi marriage… He announce on stage “Jo nahi nachega, kal subah mata rani uski maa utha legi” lolzz… I promise you gonna enjoy every bit and byte of the film.

jimmy-shergillJimmi Shergill as Raja Awasthi the villan of last movie is still on, but this time for a change there is no villan at all. He is in a comic character rather than as negative role. Though he played a very strong character in the last one, his role loosed that much strongness in this one.

Tried to portay the evil of Girl Child Killing, backward treatment towards girls as one of the lacking point of Haryana. The message has been well conveyed by the brilliant actor rajesh-sharmaRajesh Sharma (Kusum’s Brother). In the whole movie it is like a cultural union, you can get the feel of three different types of marriages – UP(Kanpur) Wedding, Haryana Wedding and Punjabi Wedding.

During the entire movie, I felt that what is happening in the movie is not correct, it is not the right justice… But this is what Director Anand wants the audience to feel. Watch the movie to know what actually happened as I never reveal the suspense and story of the movie in my reviews 🙂

“It is a must watch movie for everyone, and three cheers to Kangna for being in the Industry for making us feel proud about the Women Power.”

Tevar – Movie Review

3 out of 5 stars (3 / 5)

A movie by father for his dearest son… Exactly a tailor made, complete pack of Bollywood masala to satiate the taste buds of Indian audience, targeting multiplexes to single screens. Boney Kapoor has really worked hard for his son and presented a brilliant movie with direction and beautiful screenplay of Mr. Amit Ravindernath Sharma. You can see the beauty of Agra and Mathura in all the senses with colourful locations and typical uniqueness of the region.

Talking about story there is nothing new, its same old story of bollywood in a little bit new package and faces. But would like to emphasise, the movie is not bad at all. Brilliant performance by Mr. Manoj Bajpai… Outstanding expressions and awesome dialogues.

Regarding Arjun Kapoor, he did well other than if you can accept larger than life action sequences exactly like what he is claiming in the movie that he is a “Superman”. An angry young man’s role who is fighting for a girl and at last fallen in love with the girl for ultimate climax fight.

tevar-salman
Some songs are really touching in the second half, but some are really annoying in the first half. You can see Sonakshi Sinha in a sensible role out of her past few track record. She has lost quite some pounds of body fat and thus, looking ripped and beautiful in the role of a very next door girl.

Overall it is a paisa vasool one time watch if you are fond of bollywood masala movies with larger than life action stunts…
