Ok Jaanu – Movie Review

3 out of 5 stars (3 / 5)

A simple and light weight movie to chill upon and will really give you some cozy feelings. The story and theme is targeted to the new generation audience who will actually get involved in the story while watching it. It is not comparable with Aashiqui 2 as both have a different story prospect. Aashiqui 2 was a kind of love story which is portraying the madness and sacrifice for love. This one is presenting the love life of every next youngster living in metro cities far from families. One of the biggest truth of current Indian Generation is like they want a causal relationship, a western outlook to their life but most of them don’t realize that from the bottom of the heart they are still someone who actually want to be in a relationship where they want love like 90’s Bollywood movies. Even if they want that from inside, don’t want to accept it coz they believe it may stop them to be modern or it makes them feel like a classic person or this is the way of life.

Well not going out of topic let’s talk about the movie.
Movie is all about a couple who met in a common friend’s marriage ceremony and get attracted to each other. Both individuals have different aspects in their life and were chasing the same. So, don’t want to be in a relationship where any commitment is needed. But as somebody rightly said love happens without your permissions, it is a feeling which can be controlled, but you cannot erase it from your brain ever, if you ever felt true love for anybody. Then there is a journey of couple living together with beautiful light moments and with an obvious climax. The lacking point of the movie is the climax, which is very predictable and straight. But the pace of the movie was good and entertainer throughout the whole two hours fifteen minutes.
The lead actors Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapoor were really awesome and they look so natural while doing these kinds of roles. Shraddha no doubt looking very beautiful in the movie and best thing about her is like she actually represents the beauty of a girl every next door. It is the simplicity and cuteness more than the beauty which actually made her perfect. Commendable acting by the legend actor Naseeruddin Shah and Leela Samson. Music is very awesome composed by A R Rahman, specially the Enna Sona and Hamma Hamma song.

A light romantic movie for a one time watch with beautiful songs.

Rock On 2 – Movie Review

2 out of 5 stars (2 / 5)

Rock On (2008) was Directed by Abhishek Kapoor and now the Sequel Rock On 2 Directed by Shujaat Saudagar is a complete disappointment in the terms of entertainment. Movie is same as old based on Rock Musical Drama but this time the soul is not there, neither the music is good. Story is the culprit; it is not holding the audience to movie. Till the interval I was searching for pickup in the story line but it was lagging from the beginning till the interval. Exactly I want to say it was too boring till the interval. But it doesn’t mean that after interval it picked up, it was still in the same lag. In the last 30 minutes of the movie it looks like yes now something interesting will happen and was waiting for that. But the climax also was not much happening but at least better than the ninety percent of the movie.

rock-on-2
No complaints regarding the actors, everybody did well as per the characters and the story demanded. The movie failed with the story, direction and music. The Rock On (2008) has set a certain level of expectation and standard, so this one should be above that. I believe even Farhan Akhtar also may be realizing after watching this movie that it is not up to the mark. Other than the previous cast Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal, Purab Kohli, Prachi Desai the new add-ons are Shraddha Kapoor, and Shashank Arora. Kumud Mishra is there in the role of a famous traditional musician and father of Shraddha Kapoor and must say not used him as per his capability.

rock-on
When we think about Rock On, it is all about the music. Now this sequel is with such music which is completely pathetic and with soul less story. In the climax they played the old Rock On title song for some minutes which at least brought some smile on the face.

Well, it is a disappointment from Farhan Akhtar.

Baaghi – Movie Review

1.5 out of 5 stars (1.5 / 5)

The movie is like you are watching somebody playing a video game the player is fighting with villains to save the princess and to reach princess you need to cross various stages and to go through rigorous training too. Tiger Shroff, this time with a little beard to give some rigid look or to hide his chocolaty look failed completely to deliver the intensity and skills required for this kind of role. Mere presenting a skinny body with some flexible actions doesn’t mean you did a fantastic performance. No doubt he has shown some outstanding fight actions and gymnastic skills throughout the movie. The dialogue delivery was so poor that it will really make you laugh saying what the f**k man…

tiger

The bubbly Shraddha Kapoor this time made it over and felt irritating by the over performed dialogues and expressions. Meanwhile Sudheer Babu Posani, the villain made it exactly right with his brilliant performance and the muscular look. He overshadowed Tiger Shroff with his acting and looks. You can also find Sunil Grover in the movie with not so much funny role.

The best part of the movie is the Chief Commandos Mentor, Chief Commando Trainer, Founder, Brand Ambassdor, Headmaster-Inventor- Revolutionary Orator- Kallaripayattu Guru, Gurakkal, Great GrandMaster and Inventor ,CCQB Expert, WORLD’S BEST COMMANDO & WORLD’S BEST COMMANDO TRAINER since 2008 till date, Grand Master Shifuji Shaurya Bharadwaj is playing the role of Kalaripayatu Acharayan in the movie. For all your information, the stunts shown in the movie by Acharyan are done by himself, without any harness or animations.

grandmaster

Other reason to watch movie is some glimpse of God’s own country Kerala and to gain knowledge about the ancient fight art Kalaripaytuu of our country.

You can see the movie only for Grand Master Shifuji Shaurya Bharadwaj.

ABCD 2 – Movie Review

3 out of 5 stars (3 / 5)

Dance, Dance and Dance… That is the review for this Movie. As expected it is a presentation of various forms of dance with beauty and excellent choreography. Very well directed by Remo D’Souza and awesome music by Sachin Jigar made this movie a journey of music and dance.

I am forced to convey that this is also the weak point of the movie, as you are constantly watching music and dance for complete 2.5-3 hours in between they have bundled up a different song to show off the chemistry between the leads Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor. As it is a Disney Presentation, you can expect outstanding 3D effects.

Emotional quotient they tried to give is not much efficient due to the poor performance of Prabhu Deva in the sense of acting (not about dance). varunYou can see Varun Dhawan in a dancing avatar flaunting abs and his ripped body along with a really good moves of the art. I must say this film pointed out and projected the talent of Shraddha Kapoor as a dancer, she was outstanding and almost overpowered the performance of Varun in most of the places.

shraddha

A great glimpse of the fantasy city of Las Vegas along with the blend of all culture into the form of dance. This time you can see a realistic end of the story even being a Bollywood movie. The original story is based on a Mumbai based dance group. In ABCD (1) they have a religious climax performance and this time they have a patriotic one.

Dance lovers can’t avoid this movie…

Ungli – Movie Review

2.5 out of 5 stars (2.5 / 5)

After so long a little sensible movie from Mr. Imran Hashmi other than the Jannat Series. Its an action thriller type where a gang of youth frustrated by our system and decided to fight back in a different manner.

With a tag line “Agar tedhi ungli se ghee na nikle toh saari ungli use karna chahiye”. As always brilliant performance by Randeep Hooda, he fits into every character he plays in such a way that feels kinda tailor made role for him. Equally all other cast of gang dud justice to there roles.

ungli-shraddha-kapoor

You will find Sanjay Dutt too in the movie as a honest cop and added little senior spice in movie. Can’t forget well fitted short song “Nach Basanti” filmed on the beautiful Shraddha Kapoor along with Imran Hashmi…

“Overall its a nice one time thriller watch…”

Haider – Movie Review

4 out of 5 stars (4 / 5)

What a movie… Brilliant is the word for Vishal Bharadwaj for this wonderful gift to Hindi Film Industry. It is a master piece of Film Art and Cinematography. The way of presentation includes Drama, Music and Colourful Dance with great Choreography.

Movie is based on the life of Kashmir from the past 68 years. The way of there living, the kind of adversities faced by the people living there. Torture by militants and Army towards common people.

“The film is inspired by Shakespeare’s famous play Hamlet but not 100%.”

Outstanding performance by Shahid Kapoor and K. K. Menon. It seems Shahid Kapoor is back with a Bang by beating Bang Bang on Box Office this week. Movie is not for very light hearted people as blood and violence is full coloured in the presentation. As expected mature acting from Tabu what add-on is the performance by bubbly Shraddha Kapoor.

Go and watch the movie if you want to know the ground reality of problems and the way of living of Kashmir People along with a excellent Directed performance from Vishal Bharadwaj.
