Kahaani 2 – Movie Review

3.5 out of 5 stars (3.5 / 5)

A movie from Director Sujoy Ghosh and it is not a sequel of the movie released in 2012 Kahaani. It is a new story casting the same outstandingly talented Vidya Balan in the character of a women from West Bengal. Movie is very beautifully directed with awesome screen play and direction. It is able to keep the pace always up from the beginning to end. The thrill and suspense is maintained till the end as the plot was demanding. Arjun Rampal is playing the character of a cop who is investigating the case of Vidya Balan.

As shown in the trailer, the movie is all about a woman from rural area who was working in a school as admin attended, who comes across a girl child who was victim of child abuse at her own home. Vidya Balan tried exploring the things more and get into trouble. Then the story went on with various twists and turns leading to a very thrilling climax. Movie is delivering a message of awareness towards child abuse in the society. A kid cannot identify the difference between love and lust, he or she been exploited by the people, sometimes the very dear and near one in the society is the culprit. They cannot express it to anyone and it eventually lead to a different life with so much trauma in the childhood. The parents and family should always be alert and try to educate as much as possible to the children and try to be open with them.

Arjun Rampal paid justice to his role with a character of an inspector who actually played the trump card in the movie and made it more interesting. Jugal Hansraj the chocolaty guy from Mohabbatein is there in the movie playing the negative role.

Overall it is a must watch for an awesome movie with some good message

Rock On 2 – Movie Review

2 out of 5 stars (2 / 5)

Rock On (2008) was Directed by Abhishek Kapoor and now the Sequel Rock On 2 Directed by Shujaat Saudagar is a complete disappointment in the terms of entertainment. Movie is same as old based on Rock Musical Drama but this time the soul is not there, neither the music is good. Story is the culprit; it is not holding the audience to movie. Till the interval I was searching for pickup in the story line but it was lagging from the beginning till the interval. Exactly I want to say it was too boring till the interval. But it doesn’t mean that after interval it picked up, it was still in the same lag. In the last 30 minutes of the movie it looks like yes now something interesting will happen and was waiting for that. But the climax also was not much happening but at least better than the ninety percent of the movie.

rock-on-2
No complaints regarding the actors, everybody did well as per the characters and the story demanded. The movie failed with the story, direction and music. The Rock On (2008) has set a certain level of expectation and standard, so this one should be above that. I believe even Farhan Akhtar also may be realizing after watching this movie that it is not up to the mark. Other than the previous cast Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal, Purab Kohli, Prachi Desai the new add-ons are Shraddha Kapoor, and Shashank Arora. Kumud Mishra is there in the role of a famous traditional musician and father of Shraddha Kapoor and must say not used him as per his capability.

rock-on
When we think about Rock On, it is all about the music. Now this sequel is with such music which is completely pathetic and with soul less story. In the climax they played the old Rock On title song for some minutes which at least brought some smile on the face.

Well, it is a disappointment from Farhan Akhtar.

Roy – Movie Review

1.5 out of 5 stars (1.5 / 5)

A movie not meant for general mass, its a conceptual piece of art with exotic landscapes of beautiful Malayasia. It will be a slow torture for 90% of audience in your theater.

People will not have a clue about what is going on until and unless they have a prior idea that Jacklyn Fernadez play a double role in movie. Arjun Rampal is in main lead as a film maker and Ranbir Kapoor a virtual thief who actually didn’t exist. This is the irony that it takes a lot of time to understand Ranbir’s existence even after watching the full movie. Movie shows the sophisticasy and richness of characters along with unwanted song sequences which actually do not cope up with kind of story line it follows.

Anupam kher is not used properly and it is again a loss for the movie. No doubt Arjun Rampal and Jacklyn both are brilliant in movie and totally paid justice to the characters they played. Ranbir also shown his matured side of acting.

Movie lacks pace and spice as required for a regular bollywood movie. Hence, it would be disaster at box office. Stretched and slient sequences really annoyed the audience at movie hall and leads to people leaving the show in the middle. For some people it become a pain to sit and watch the movie till the end and started abusing the characters and director because they do not get even the slightest idea about the story of Roy.

Overall a disaster from director Vikramjit Singh
