Ok Jaanu – Movie Review

3 out of 5 stars (3 / 5)

A simple and light weight movie to chill upon and will really give you some cozy feelings. The story and theme is targeted to the new generation audience who will actually get involved in the story while watching it. It is not comparable with Aashiqui 2 as both have a different story prospect. Aashiqui 2 was a kind of love story which is portraying the madness and sacrifice for love. This one is presenting the love life of every next youngster living in metro cities far from families. One of the biggest truth of current Indian Generation is like they want a causal relationship, a western outlook to their life but most of them don’t realize that from the bottom of the heart they are still someone who actually want to be in a relationship where they want love like 90’s Bollywood movies. Even if they want that from inside, don’t want to accept it coz they believe it may stop them to be modern or it makes them feel like a classic person or this is the way of life.

Well not going out of topic let’s talk about the movie.
Movie is all about a couple who met in a common friend’s marriage ceremony and get attracted to each other. Both individuals have different aspects in their life and were chasing the same. So, don’t want to be in a relationship where any commitment is needed. But as somebody rightly said love happens without your permissions, it is a feeling which can be controlled, but you cannot erase it from your brain ever, if you ever felt true love for anybody. Then there is a journey of couple living together with beautiful light moments and with an obvious climax. The lacking point of the movie is the climax, which is very predictable and straight. But the pace of the movie was good and entertainer throughout the whole two hours fifteen minutes.
The lead actors Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapoor were really awesome and they look so natural while doing these kinds of roles. Shraddha no doubt looking very beautiful in the movie and best thing about her is like she actually represents the beauty of a girl every next door. It is the simplicity and cuteness more than the beauty which actually made her perfect. Commendable acting by the legend actor Naseeruddin Shah and Leela Samson. Music is very awesome composed by A R Rahman, specially the Enna Sona and Hamma Hamma song.

A light romantic movie for a one time watch with beautiful songs.

Daawat-e-Ishq – Movie Review

2 out of 5 stars (2 / 5)

Movie is based on evil of the society Dowry System. A very nice colorful presentation from Yashraj Films with the Charming Aditya Roy Kapoor and the chubby Parineeti Chopra. First half of the movie was going higher and higher with thrills, drama and comedy but all fell down after the interval. Movie lost the speed and soul in second half with poor climax. It would be completely rocking if they could end up with some more masala, action or suspense at the end.
Well, Movie will definitely create some fear over dowry seekers. It will encourage the family of girls not to flow with the so called tradition of dowry and should stood up with confident. No more drama in marriages like all pressure is over girl’s family… Please change this thought…

Back to movie… Fantastic showcase of Lucknow and Hyderabadi Zaika portraying all the famous dishes like Mutton Ghosht, Seekh Kabab, Hyderabadi Biryani, Shahi Tukda, Gulab Jamun, Rabdi, kheer etc… Yes just like your mouth started watering reading this review, will felt the same sitting in the theater watching all these dishes in the restaurant of Aditya Roy Kapoor. Some multiplexes already started selling Daawat-e-Ishq combos because they know interval duration will be a rush to snack bar for all foodies like me watching the movie.

Overall you can watch the move for some refreshment and too enjoy a light story not bundled so much.
