Budhia Singh – Born to Run

3.5 out of 5 stars (3.5 / 5)

A forgotten hero is narrated again through the silver screen. A big applause for Director Soumendra Padhi for making this film and let the world know about the wonder boy Budhia Singh. The story is based on the boy who was only five years old when he completed 48 marathons. Budhia Awooga Singh was born in 2002 at Orrisa, an Indian boy and world’s youngest marathon runner. The legendary run of his life was from Puri to Bhubaneshwar at the age of four covering 65 kilometres in seven hours and two minutes.

His coach Branchi Das was the person behind this wonderful boy who discovered Budhia’s ability to run for longer durations. Manoj Bajpayee played the role of Branchi Das in the movie. Mayur Mahendra Patole is the kid playing the role of Budhia. Later, The Indian Child Welfare officials came into picture and made an accusation of exploiting the child by Mr. Das. They put a ban on Budhia’s running and the ban still continues. Budhia is now 14 years old and still living as an another odd child at sports hostel of Bhubneshwar.

Movie is filled with enthusiasm and thrill of Budhia and his coach. Manoj Bajpayee nailed the role of Branchi Das as always he does in his films. Shruti Marathe is there in the movie as wife of Branchi Das. shruti-maratheTilotama Shome is playing the role of Budhia’s mother. Technically movie is little slow around interval, audience was expecting a thrilling end at climax but as it was biopic and thus, nothing can be shown so much dramatically, so it is ignorable. The important thing is that we should not forget Budhia Singh and should support him for his career. As per late Mr. Branchi Das, Budhia is the person who can bring a gold medal for India in Olympics. He was keen to participate Budhia in 2016 Olympics but unfortunately it didn’t happen. Hoping this movie will lighten up the carrier of Budhia and he can bring back his glory and power for running marathons like before.

A must watch to know about a forgotten Hero

Traffic – Movie Review

3.5 out of 5 stars (3.5 / 5)

A movie based on the real incident happened at Chennai to bring human heart organ from one location to another location by road in a stipulated time in the middle of peak traffic for a heart transplant surgery. In the movie it is portrayed as Mumbai to Pune, starring Manoj Bajpayee as lead along with Jimmy Shergill and many more. The saddest thing about this movie is Director Rajesh Pillai who brilliantly executed the movie and Jishnu in a supporting role, both are no more in this world to see the movie released. Rajesh Pillai was suffering from liver cirrhosis and Jishnu Raghwan passed away due to throat and lung cancer.

Movie is a must watch for seeing the brilliant actor Manoj Bajpyee doing the best in the role of traffic constable who did a fantastic job of driving the SUV to transport the human organ to the hospital despite of various hurdles he reached before time and accomplished an impossible mission. Movie is an emotional thriller where somebody is in a trauma because of losing their son and on other side, another parents are praying for life of their daughter. The phase of mental pressure and emotions is beautifully shown in the movie where a father ordered to stop the ventilator of his son for rescuing a girl child by donating his heart to that girl. Even if any parent knows that it is impossible to save their child from any trauma still it is hard to take a decision like this.

On the other side movie is portraying the dedication and hard work of police to accomplish a mission for humanity. Jimmy Shergil as Traffic Police Commissioner did justice to his role. Divya Dutta as girl’s mother and the brilliant actor Sachin Khedekar nailed their role with excellence. Movie is little lagging and slow till interval but the second half will make over those with some nice twists of story.

A must watch movie to experience some thrill.

Aligarh – Movie Review

3 out of 5 stars (3 / 5)

A movie based on true story of a professor of Aligarh University who was homosexual and due to his sexual orientation he was assaulted and dismissed from the university. It is a classic kind of movie which portrays the feelings of a homosexual person, how the society is biased towards them, how they can’t reveal their desires in society, they are not allowed to live life freely after revealing the truth that they are homosexual, how our society is not much matured to understand the fact about homosexuality.

Talking about Manoj Bajpayee, his intense and realistic acting is exactly what is expected from such an awesome legend of acting. He nailed the character by his unique way of presentation. Rajkumar Rao as journalist also contributed an excellent part from his side. He is becoming king of realistic acting like Irfan Khan.

Watch to realize the pain of a homosexual person in our society.
