Daawat-e-Ishq – Movie Review

2 out of 5 stars (2 / 5)

Movie is based on evil of the society Dowry System. A very nice colorful presentation from Yashraj Films with the Charming Aditya Roy Kapoor and the chubby Parineeti Chopra. First half of the movie was going higher and higher with thrills, drama and comedy but all fell down after the interval. Movie lost the speed and soul in second half with poor climax. It would be completely rocking if they could end up with some more masala, action or suspense at the end.
Well, Movie will definitely create some fear over dowry seekers. It will encourage the family of girls not to flow with the so called tradition of dowry and should stood up with confident. No more drama in marriages like all pressure is over girl’s family… Please change this thought…

Back to movie… Fantastic showcase of Lucknow and Hyderabadi Zaika portraying all the famous dishes like Mutton Ghosht, Seekh Kabab, Hyderabadi Biryani, Shahi Tukda, Gulab Jamun, Rabdi, kheer etc… Yes just like your mouth started watering reading this review, will felt the same sitting in the theater watching all these dishes in the restaurant of Aditya Roy Kapoor. Some multiplexes already started selling Daawat-e-Ishq combos because they know interval duration will be a rush to snack bar for all foodies like me watching the movie.

Overall you can watch the move for some refreshment and too enjoy a light story not bundled so much.

Creature 3D – Movie Review

2 out of 5 stars (2 / 5)

First thing to mention is Amazing 3D effects as it was not a 3D simulation but an actual 3D movie. After so long a good 3D and perfect use of VFX animation in Bollywood. Story of the movie is based on a monster portrayed as “Brahm Rakshas” based on Hindu mythological facts. A kind of evil powers you can hear every next door at inside villages of India.

Bipasha Basu, as usual looking stunning but don’t know why she is looking more refreshed and pretty on this thriller presentation. The low down for the movie was Imran Abbas Naqvi the lead male actor; due to crooked looks with the unshaved beard with not great expressions and bad piece of acting. Felt he was not even interested to do the proper lip movement for the song dubbing.

It’s a onetime watch if you want to see Bipasha and good 3D effects. In between you may feel the movie went slow due to the long try scenes to kill the Brahm Rakshas with dramatic 7 Bullets left with Bipasha.

Ending up with the melodious song Saawan aaya hai by the blessed singer Arjit Singh…

Finding Fanny – Movie Review

3 out of 5 stars (3 / 5)

After so long a movie out of the Bollywood track. Caution: Don’t go for movie expecting a Bollywood Masala as like every commercial movie, otherwise you will just messed up as my co-seaters in the theater does. I loved the movie and completely respect toMr. Naseeruddin Shah as he was outstanding in the movie. The way he presented the character was flawless… Deepika as hot as always with that cute dimples…

Finding-Fanny-Cast-ImagesArjun kapoor… hmm.. not that much impact from his character. Dimple Kapadia and Pankaj Kapoor adding the comic flavour with that naughtybumps acts. Portayed the Green Goa so beautifully that I felt Goa Calling me again…

Overall I loved the movie… Again it is a movie for Cinema lovers not Just Bollywood.

Mary Kom – Movie Review

3 out of 5 stars (3 / 5)

A wonderful effort by Priyanka Chopra. I salute the versatility of the actress who easily performs all the roles, which can be Jhilmil of Barfi or Mary Kom or Roma of Don.

marykom priyankaThis movie, as it is tribute to a lady who got a designation as Magnificent Mary. Well movie is all about the biopic of her life. Although movie is not having a hold over audience like what Bhaag Mikha Bhaag does but it is truly enjoyable and motivational for them especially girls who want to achieve dreams by bypassing the typical Indian Obstacles (family/resources/barriers from the authorities/corruption) etc. As it is true story of a living legend it’s a must watch for every Indian to know about them who made our country proud. I am 100% confident that most of us don’t even know the full name of M.C. Mary Kom. Even I came to know about her achievements after watching the movie. She is a five-time World Amateur Boxing champion, and the only woman boxer to have won a medal in each one of the six world championships. Nicknamed Magnificent Mary, she is the only Indian woman boxer to have qualified for the 2012 Summer Olympics, competing in the flyweight (51 kg) category and winning the bronze medal. She has also been ranked as No. 4 AIBA World Women’s Ranking Flyweight category.

Movie is not at all boring… It is an entertainer, colourful and motivational. They added some melodrama too at climax to make it more interesting.

Overall I liked it.
